The National Council for Territory and Water approved 73 permits at its April meeting for towers, coastal resorts, and other construction works.

According to the agenda made public by the Territorial Development Agency, the KKTU approved the Detailed Central Plan for the "Tourist Development of the Adriatic Coast, Darëzezë Area", which envisages the construction of a giant project worth over 1 billion euros.

The Darëzeza project envisages a pedestrian Lungomare, a sports and recreation area, seasonal accommodation structures, beach services, hotel services, gastronomic and entertainment services, etc.

Part of the project will be the connection with the main cities and includes the creation of a market for local products, an international summer camp, an academy and tennis courts, an international-sized aquapark, the first golf course in Albania, a public park, and international hotels by the sea.

In parallel, the KKT has approved the Development Permit for another major project. It concerns the construction of a giant resort in Zvërnec, which will be built by the company Zvërnec South Adriatic Development.

Among the long list of projects, the permit for a 49-story tower on Reshit Petrela Street in Tirana by the company ESEC stands out. This company is based in Durrës and is owned by Edmond Dako, the brother of the former socialist mayor, Vangjush Dako.

Genc Deromemaj, the former chairman of the Democratic Party in Vlora, who crossed the rainbow by accepting the position of director of the Cadastre for this city from Prime Minister Edi Rama, has been rewarded with two building permits in Saranda and Vlora. The N94 company, owned by Deromemaj, has received a building permit for a 5-story residential building in Saranda and another 8-story, hotel and residential building, in Vlora.

The Qefaliajs' son-in-law's ISEC has received a construction permit for a tourist complex in Borsh, while Dine Fratari has returned with a large residential, services and hotel complex called Riverway City, which will be built on Pjetër Bogdani Street in Tirana.

Hajredin Fratari became publicly known many years ago when he accused Edi Rama, then mayor, of demanding a 20 percent bribe for construction permits. But the builder, whose daughter ran for MP with the Democratic Party, later withdrew the accusations.
