After swallowing billions in energy, Agron Shapllo and Serafin Orgocka poisoned

A large-scale police operation conducted three days ago uncovered a serious pollution scheme in Elbasan, where two companies licensed to process non-ferrous metals and plastics were found to be illegally burning waste. Instead of furnaces and special filters, investigators found fire pits and plumes of toxic smoke.

Police arrested 16 people in flagrante delicto and declared the shareholders of the companies CCALV shpk and GSA Ferrokrom wanted. The latter is owned by Agron Shapllo and Serafin Orgocka.

Although the day before, the Elbasan Court released the 16 arrested people from detention, deeming their arrest illegal, the 8 people declared wanted remained with the same status.

Thus, Bujar Zogu, Dritan Konica, Faejzo Mecaj, Ilir Londo, Gjergj Bezati, Agron Shapllo and Serafin Orgocka continue to be wanted by the authorities. They are charged with 4 criminal offenses, from air, water and land pollution, to concealment of income, illegal employment and money laundering, committed in collaboration.

operation

The operation took place on December 14, when the Elbasan Police intervened inside the premises of the companies "ÇALB" Shpk and "GSA Ferrokrom" Shpk, which were carrying out their activity in Metalurgjiku.

The burning of ferrochrome waste was carried out at night, in the open air, and within the yard and company premises for at least 2 years, causing an environmental disaster not only near the former Metalurgjiku where the activity was carried out, but also for kilometers around.

The police say they have violated environmental laws and polluted the air, water and soil, and have not respected the rules for integrated waste management and the processing of battery waste. Under normal conditions, the burning of such materials should be done according to standards to avoid creating pollution, which "CCALV" Shpk and "GSA Ferrokrom" Shpk did not meet, as no filtering equipment was found inside the work premises.

Due to the massive violations found, the police imposed 2 fines totaling 13 million lek, namely 3 million for one and 10 million for the other company. By decision of the authorities, their activity was suspended until the legal requirements were met.

GSA is one of the largest companies in the trading of energy and electrical materials. It has been among the largest contractors of KESH and OSHEE, winning hundreds of millions of euros in tenders.
