Ergys Agas's lawyer, Maks Haxhia, appeared this Tuesday at the Special Prosecution Office premises to receive documents for his client.
Outside SPAK premises, Haxhia told reporters that there is no evidence in SPAK's file that proves that Agasi has connections to the field of tenders and is involved in kidnapping.
He stated that the file has been distributed to the media, while he and his client do not yet have it. Haxhia said that his client is abroad concluding a business deal, and that as soon as he returns to Albania he will face justice.
"He is abroad concluding a business deal. He will definitely surrender himself, when he returns he will maintain his stance to face justice. SPAK compromises him, releasing the file data compromises him, politics and the opposition draw the conclusion. When he is not a politician, what does he have to do with appointments? SPAK says what SPAK wants, but not what is in reality and the evidence, there is no evidence that Agasi was involved in the field of tenders, but he is not even familiar with the person," he said, referring to Gerond Meçen, who was taken hostage and threatened to give up his complaints about tenders.
