ABI BANK celebrates its 10th anniversary

The American Investment Bank reports the highest growth in the banking sector in the last 10 years.

The American Investment Bank celebrated its 10th anniversary at the premises of the Brigades Palace. Since 2015, ABI Bank has grown 10-fold and by the end of 2025, after merging with NOA, it is expected to reach 2 billion dollars. With almost 1,000 employees, the ABI Bank group, which also includes NOA, reports the highest growth in the banking sector in the last 10 years and the highest profitability in the last three years.

At the event held on the occasion of the anniversary, Mr. Igli Sulaj thanked clients, employees and guests of honor, including the Governor of the Bank of Albania, Mr. Gent Sejko, Minister Delina Ibrahimaj, and the Chargé d'Affaires of the American Embassy in Albania, Ms. Nancy VanHorn.

The Governor of the Bank of Albania in his speech said that "after a 10-year period, we can say with conviction that the strategy followed by ABI Bank, no matter how challenging it was considered at the beginning, has proven to be completely successful, both for investors and for the promotion of healthy competition in the market."

Minister Delina Ibrahimaj appreciated the leadership, role and vision of ABI Bank in the development of the Albanian economy with a focus on investments in the tourism sector long before this sector achieved the success of recent years.

Kathryn Swintek, Chairman of the Board of ABI Bank and Greg Katz, representative of NCH Capital, an American investment fund that has been investing in Albania for almost 20 years, expressed their appreciation for the success of ABI Bank and their confidence in the further expansion of NCH's activity in the region. He emphasized that ABI has supported social causes and brought innovative solutions to local businesses.

Andi Ballta, CEO of ABI Bank, focused on the importance that ABI Bank's culture has played in the bank's success. He said that ABI Bank will continue to invest in tourism, local corporate bonds and the Albanian currency, as well as support charity, art, culture and sports activities.

ABI Bank is the largest American investment in Albania with total capital of around 200 million dollars.
