Pacolli dismisses the administrator of Vlora Airport

After clashes over shares of Vlora airport, businessman Behgjet Pacolli has decided to dismiss the administrator of the concession company, Vlora International Airport, Valon Lluka.

The decision was made two days ago, unilaterally, with only the votes of Mabco Construction and Pacolli, while the minority shareholder 2A Group was not present at the meeting at all.

Dismissal of the administrator of the VIA company

Vlora Airport has been embroiled in a major public scandal, as two shareholders are publicly clashing over the shares. The 2A Group company, which owns 2 percent of the shares in this concession, claims that it owns 47 percent of the shares, according to a secret agreement that the parties signed in 2022, which was made public by journalist Mero Baze. But this version is not accepted by Mabco Construction, which today owns 98 percent of the airport's shares.

The Vlora Airport scandal erupted after an investigation by Kapital. Initially, Kosovar businessman Behgjet Pacolli tried to deny Kapital's investigation, but just an hour later the issue exploded publicly, as minority shareholder Valon Ademi accused Pacolli of being a fraud.

It is not known whether the dismissal of Valon Lluka from the position of Airport Administrator is related to the fierce fight between the two shareholders. But the quarrel between Pacolli and Valon Ademi seems to have created a very big problem at the Vlora airport, which Prime Minister Rama had promised to open for this year's tourist season.
