While businesses are facing a total shutdown due to the collapse of the fiscalization system, the Public Procurement Commission once again blocked the NAKSHI tender for the maintenance of this system.

The decision taken the day before, on February 3, was justified by the fact that the National Information Society Agency had not published the complete tender dossier in the electronic Public Procurement system and had not provided the relevant clarifications for some technical terms that are part of the necessary tender criteria.

The decision of the Public Procurement Commission to block the tender

This is the second time that the 7.7 million euro tender for the maintenance of the Billing Control Management Module for the General Directorate of Taxes has failed or been blocked. Originally opened in May last year, this tender has gone through a long ordeal of complaints at the Public Procurement Commission.

As a result, even though it was opened 8 months ago, the tender continues to remain blocked, marking a historical record for the extension of a procurement procedure in Albania.

Initially, this tender was appealed by a company called CSP, while in recent months it has been appealed in series by the Data Log company, owned by businessman Sokol Sinani.

But while clans clash for the fat morsels of AKSH, Albanian businesses are paying the heavy cost of corruption, as they cannot submit balance sheets and sales books due to problems with the fiscalization system.
