The Tirana Prosecutor's Office has conducted inspections of several entities that provide postal services in the capital.
The action came after investigations into tax evasion.
According to what the prosecution reports, so far 13 million lek have been seized, as well as goods received without tax invoices.
"So far, the controls have seized significant amounts of goods received without tax invoices, 13 million lek, as well as accompanying documentation, evidence that, according to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction, Tirana, shows illegality in terms of tax evasion, as well as amounts of money that are suspected of deriving from illegal activity," the prosecution announced.
Meanwhile, the prosecution says that investigations are continuing to identify the real sellers and fully document the illegal activity.

Investigations into entities that provide postal services, Tirana Prosecution registers criminal proceedings for tax evasion for goods sold without an invoice, 13 million lek are seized.
The Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Tirana registers criminal proceedings no. 156, year 2026, for the criminal offense of tax evasion, provided for by Article 180 of the Criminal Code.
After permission from the court, at the request of the proceeding body, they consequently conducted inspections in several entities that provide postal services in the capital.
