'Something bad may have happened..' What Daniel Shimë's wife stated at the police station! Police confirm disappearance

Tirana Police, through a press release distributed via WhatsApp today at 19:40, reveals that the complaint of the wife of Daniel Shima, former deputy director of AKSHI, regarding his disappearance was made around 17:00.

On 20.08.2025, at around 17:00, citizen M. Sh. appeared at Police Station No. 1, reporting that she had lost contact with her son, citizen D. Sh., 34 years old, that day.

"Police services are working to clarify the circumstances of the case and to find him," the statement distributed to journalists reads.

Syri TV journalist Fatjon Gjinaj informed that the report of the disappearance of Daniel Shimë, former deputy director of the National Agency for the Information Society, was made by his wife at police station no. 1.

She requested emergency help after suspecting that something bad might have happened, journalist Gjinaj informs.

Syri TV learns that Daniel Shima has been questioned by SPAK as a person who has knowledge of the circumstances of the investigation regarding several AKSHI tenders.

"Reliable sources indicate that Shima was not the subject of investigation for their two proceedings, but was summoned in the capacity of a person who had knowledge of the circumstances.
