Businessman and former President of Kosovo, Behgjet Pacolli, appeared today at the Tirana Prosecutor's Office.
After leaving the Prosecutor's Office, Pacolli stated that he went as a person who has knowledge of the Vlora airport issue, for which there are two reports, one from Valon Ademi and one from Pacolli's brother.
"I was there to give evidence for the criminal response that we have filed. As an informed person, it is my right to go and show the chronology of the cases. The other party has filed a report, we have responded. My brother has filed a report against the individuals and I was practically there as an informed person to give statements. The government has nothing to do here. It is unfair to mention anyone from the government here. I have left it in the hands of justice, I believe very much in justice and judicial decisions and will act as it will follow," said Pacolli.
We recall that in recent weeks Pacolli has had clashes with his partners, part of the concessionaire that is building the airport. Currently, this prosecutor's office is investigating reports made by businessman Pacolli and businessman Valon Ademi regarding tax quotas at Vlora Airport.
The Vlora Airport scandal broke out publicly after an investigation by Kapital. The opposition has described the Vlora concession as one of the government's biggest corrupt deals, where the concessionaire was guaranteed 140 million euros from the state budget, while the entire investment for the construction of the airport is 104 million euros.
