The authority announced that the application was submitted four days ago, while the review procedure is underway. MV Competition Authority Announcement

Agna is present in North Macedonia through the subsidiary AGNA Investment DOOEL Skopje, engaged in real estate management, as well as through AGNA International DOOEL, active in the construction sector.

Mako-Market, the company expected to be taken over, operates in the wholesale trade of food, beverages, personal hygiene and cleaning products. It owns production capacities for confectionery and popcorn and has an extensive logistics network with its own transport fleet, covering the entire territory of North Macedonia.

According to KMK, the vast majority of Mako-Market's revenue is generated in the domestic market, with a limited portion from exports.

The Macedonian regulator is expected to assess whether the transaction could affect competition in the consumer goods market before making a final decision.
