Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku issued only a brief statement after leaving the offices of the Special Prosecution, where she was charged with violating equality in the tender. Ms. Balluku said she is hopeful that the process against her will be based on justice.
"Out of respect for the justice system, I have accepted SPAK's request for an investigation. As a public official, I see it as a process that I am hopeful will be based on accountability and the principles of justice," said Balluku.
