AKEP reacts to the increase in "One Albania" tariffs, the head of the

Following numerous complaints from subscribers of the "One Albania" company regarding the increase in tariffs that are expected to come into effect on May 1, 2026, the head of the Electronic and Postal Communications Authority has also responded.

Asked by News24, AKEP head Gentian Sala said that the institution he heads is in constant communication with the operator and that the issue is being followed closely.

"We have constant communication with the telephone operator, but also the past week specifically on this issue. If there is room for a decision, we will make a decision; for every complaint there will be an answer," said Sala.

The reaction comes after concerns from subscribers, who have expressed dissatisfaction on social networks and in the media, describing the increase in tariffs as unfair, as according to them the service remains unchanged despite the continuous price increase.

According to the announcement sent by the company "One Albania", the tariff increase will be up to 2.2% and is based on the consumer price index published by INSTAT. Subscribers argue that the repeated effect every year turns into an increased burden on families, paying more for the same level of service.
