Albania as in the Middle Ages/ Look at what signs the Tirana-Southeast movement

In the absence of institutional intervention and faced with an unusual flow of vehicles, the residents of the village of Spathar in Librazhd have themselves installed directional and warning signs on the rural segment Spathar–Ancient Egnatia Road–Dardhe–Hotolisht, which is being used as an alternative route after the closure of the national axis Librazhd–Prrenjas.

This segment, designed for local traffic, has become the main artery connecting Tirana with the Southeast of the country, as the national road remains impassable.

Hundreds of vehicles per day are traveling this rural road, significantly increasing the risk of accidents due to the lack of signage and proper safety parameters.

Concerned about the lives of residents and drivers, the community itself has intervened by placing warning signs, directional signs, and improvised signals at the most problematic points of the segment. This action is seen as an act of civic responsibility, but also as an alarm bell for the responsible institutions.

Residents emphasize that the alternative road cannot handle this volume of traffic for a long time without emergency interventions for reinforcement, expansion and standardization. According to them, the situation requires an immediate response from the road authorities, as this axis has become a vital node for movement, the economy and health emergencies.
